OGDC Science Camp 2008

OGDC will be organising the 6th Science Camp - previously known as Discovery Camp from 1 - 5 December 2008. I am trying out the idea to extend the 'days' from 4 days to 5 days...which, I know I will suffered after this and might revert back to 4 days 3 nights heheheheeh...it does sound extremely interesting...wait till you find out what we have planned......

My Bro's engagement ceremony

Alhamduillah..my bro's finally got engaged on the last day of syawal, 31 Oct'o8....another new addition to our small family. The ceremony was simple...but full of adat-istiadat...if my memory serve me right, our family menghantar 2 trays which consist of; tanda tunang (ring + cash) & buka mulut (ring + cash)

its customary to give a ring + cash...

ring with bling-bling.....aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh! nice to cut glass with....

membuka mulut..which interpret as 'opening mouth' hehehe.....I believe if you close you mouth you dont have to give anything..another way to save duit...:)

I did look at my watch...to see how long does it takes to jump start the ceremony..it started with 'jual bali pantun'...hiya! so many pantun..it takes more than 10mins for the jual bali pantun...then baru tah go for the killed...hehehe ie. the purpose of the visits etc..etc..etc..and ended with pantun again...I tried to jot down the pantun that had been said but unfortunately my fingers are not fast enough...to jot it down...

After the ceremony...guests were served with light refreshment...

BSRC Berhari Raya

1st Nov....attended BSRC Berhari Raya celebration..havent attended any BSRC hari raya functions for a very long time...heard last year hari raya celebration received a raved review and wanted to see what the committee have install this year. Furthermore, to try my skills taking shots 'indoor' which, I really horrible at.....and by looking at my shots I am still horrible at it; really need to work hard to improve my technique...heheheheeh. (still using the - point & shot technique)

the food...plentiful. Its no use goin' on diet..

the opening act...artists such as seed, sonny, marcel, sasha, Khairy, entah ah..not sure siapa lagi. The opening performance was chaotic...(dont think I need to say more...hope to see improvement...in the future)
