At last, I finally managed to upload photo for the bersanding ceremony for Hartini & Ak Azlan. Its really hard to write'something' at my current condition...'sakit bangat' <- attack by flu virus. It's not only me but few other colleagues of mine suffered as well.
So kecian...will need to find the culprit that spread the disease around. Yesteday, Sunday, 29 March 2009 attended Hartini & Ak Azlan wedding ceremony at Kg. Sg. Taring, Lumut.

Basuh kaki...adat puak Belait. For those yang basuh kaki you really need to put money on the bakul that are prepared. I really admire this old tradition...even though I'm not from puak Belait, I'm goin' to adopt this for my wedding. This is another way of overcoming 'kegawatan' economi. Note: the basuh kaki is adat puak tutong not puak belait as reported..eheheheh.

Correction Iskandar. Adat Basuh Kaki is actually adat dari Daerah Tutong. Only those who comes or bloodline from the Tutong District can have the Basuh Kaki. So might be the bride's dad or mum is from tutong, or vice versa. So for example is Adri kawin, ia ada basuh kaki so sediakan duit ah haha
27...both the father & mother puak belait and not sure why do basuh kaki...I presume both puak belait & tutong do have basuh kaki.
The father side of the groom is from Tutong district..hence why ada basuh kaki.

Kalau ingin mengetahui lebih banyak lagi tentang hal ini biskita bolehlah mendapatkan buku keluaran Jabatan Muzium-Muzium bertajuk Adat Perkahwinan etnik-etnik di Negara Brunei Darussalam. Di dalam buku atu di terangkan dengan jelas perbezaan masing-masing puak kitani dalam melangsungkan majlis perkahwinan. One more b4 terlupa...bunga manga atu sebenarnya Bunga Manggar tu namanya.
