Traffic Games competition Preliminary Round

Brunei Shell Educational Traffic Games competition for 2008 - starts with the preliminary competition for 35 secondary schools on 16 June 2008. The 3 days competition which ended today 18 June 2008 - was held at OGDC Traffic Games Park....Only 6 schools with the highest points will be in the final, which will be held on Sat, 28 June 2008 at OGDC. The schools that go to the final are;

* SM Pg. Dipa Negara Pg Jaya Negara Sengkarai, Tutong
* SM Sayyidina Ali, KB
* SM Chung Hua, KB
* Saint Angela, KB
* AAC, Seria
* SM Sayyinda Hussain

We were very fortunate to have volunteers from PJN who help us throughout the past 3 days....without them we will be struggling setting up for the competition....esp. with the arrangement of go-karts/bicycles & helmets....

Its very rare nowadays to have 'teenagers' volunteering...kalau di tanya these youngsters, do you want to volunteer during school holiday, you know what're their answer..."sibuk ku membawa ma'am (gf) ku be jalan'...or they will be asking be bayar kah? if the reply is NO..they said baik tah ku tidor di rumah. People never realise that, its more in life than money or jalan-jalan or lepak-lepak inda menantu..but the getting or gaining experiences, exposure and knowledge. Best of all...getting a 'certificate' that can be attached with your CV....(rather than having your CV empty)
